Capella, a faster, easier, and more flexible database-as-a-service. It is the easiest and fastest way to get started with Couchbase.

At the heart of Capella is a flexible JSON document distributed database that allows developers to align application needs to data design. The design can evolve rapidly as the goals of a product and organization change. JSON is excellent for often changing user profiles and complex catalog entries. Also, Capella includes built-in capabilities like full-text search, eventing, and operational analytics. This means that teams can avoid bolting on extra technologies that result in data sprawl, unnecessary work, extra security risks, and additional costs.

Capella’s built-in high-performance cache and memory-first architecture can deliver the same lightning-fast results for the millionth user as for the first. The distributed cluster design is masterless and asynchronous so information can be delivered at scale in single-digit milliseconds. Advanced replication and synchronization technologies ensure data is distributed effectively around the globe and out to the edge. This ensures high availability and quick disaster recovery, without a single point of failure.

Capella offers a familiar database experience with its SQL++ query language, which supports a wide range of advanced query syntax, ACID transactions across documents, and massive parallel processing analytic functionality. Developers can build with SDKs from over 12 languages. Couchbase’s patented cost-based optimizer makes using SQL with Capella even simpler and faster.

As a database-as-a-service, Capella automates steps like setup, backups, scaling, upgrades, and ongoing management, so teams can drastically reduce their operational costs. Capella’s in-memory architecture with the elastic scaling delivers the best price performance of any DBaaS. Flexible scaling of database services lets teams align hardware configurations to application requirements, so organizations only increase costs where they need to, not across the board.

Looks really promising. It would be nice to have a loading indicator while the documents are retrieving. I see blank white spacce when the limit is increased from 5 to 50 (01:00).
