Gabriel Mayer playing a cover of Bob Dylan's "One More Cup of Coffee," at the Court Street R station in Brooklyn Heights, New York on August, 21st 2012.

Lyrics:

Your breath is sweet
Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky
Your back is straight your hair is smooth
On the pillow where you lie
But I don't sense affection
No gratitude or love
Your loyalty is not to me
But to the stars above

One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
To the valley below.

And your daddy he's an outlaw
And a wanderer by trade
He'll teach you how to pick and choose
And how to throw the blade
He oversees his kingdom
So no stranger does intrude
His voice it echoes as he calls out
For another plate of food.

One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
To the valley below.

And your sister sees the future
Like your mama and yourself
You don't know how to read or write
There's no books upon your shelf
And your pleasure knows no limit
And your voice is like the meadowlark
Your heart is like the ocean
Mysterious and dark.

One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go.
To the valley below.

I really like when someone make a cover for a famous singer and yet never try to be like "him" you are amazing, good job and you sing it as if its yours

Gabriel Mayers,
Hi, I'm Sarah and a huge Dylan fan. I dig your take on it. If you are ever in Wisconsin, let's get a cup of coffee before you go

not only is this version original it there is  clarity in the pacing of the lyrics that is both enveloping and veritable. This is the first time i have ever heard this song that the paintings, story and poetry in it were clear. Dylan's version is no exception in being obsfucating.

Great cover, it takes a true artist to have the courage to divert form the original and to add his own flavor.

As a huge Dylan fan, who also liked Jack Whites version, I have to version is almost equally awesome. (No offense on the "almost", it's just that Bob Dylan is a fucking legend)
Really love what you did with it, man.
