Woah. Doin’ a bunch of drugs and wandering around creepy ass places at night is pretty much how I spent my late teens, never knew my friends and I were on the knife’s edge of accidentally ass-dialing the underworld.

Molossia was the source of a very famous ancient breed of hunting and guard dogs the molosser. Many ancient writers mention them including Aristotle and the breed continued being prominent in Roman times.Maybe even the pit bull terrier is descended from a smaller type of molossian dog.

For Pyrrus, it was all about the Glory. I love that.

Nice. When we went to the Necromantion with my school on a trip they opened the door to go down to the tunnels and a bat flew out which was pretty funny at the time xD. Also Dodona is a pretty great place to visit I have gone there many times

Great video, as usual. I suppose, there is a connection between the names Epiros and Ephyra?

Very interesting lecture, thanks for sharing! Didn't know much about it besides Phyrrus or when it's mentioned in context with Makedonia. By the way, I wouldn't mind an equally detailed video about Massalia or Pergamon :)

EPIROS --> in Greek ΗΠΕΙΡΟΣ.
The word ΑΠΕΙΡΩΤΑΝ --> APIROTAN inscribed on the ancient coins of Epiros, is the Doric plural genitiv meaning coin "of the inhabitans of Epiros", in modern Greek ΗΠΕΙΡΩΤΩΝ.

Great video. I had a good laugh about Odysseus being in dire need of Garmin products. Or a crew that was not so disobedient.
Keep up the good work.
We appreciate your contributions even though I still think Odysseus was correct in beating Thersites for sedition.

I enjoy these videos but you really need a sign-off. Just say something like "thanks for listening, hope to have you again for the next video". I know it's what everybody does but signalling the end to a presentation is important in a pro forma sort of way like saying goodbye to people when they leave.

> Epirus in the native language (currently referred to as Albanian) is "Eperi", meaning Highland.
> This is also related to the name of Molossia, which in the native Epirote/Albanian language is "Malesia", meaning Mountainous Lands.
> *Greeks were colonizers* of few coastal cities in Epirus - which confirms Greeks were NOT natives.
> The *DICTIONARIVM LATINO-EPIRUTICVM* from 1635 is a Roman document that shows clearly that the Epriote language is THE current Albanian language (no variation at all).
> *Napoleon Bonaparte* commissioned a book for *Pope Pius VII* (Dec 2, 1804) where he wrote the "Our Father" in all the languages of the World.
All of the following languages were written in Albanian:
1. Greek of Calabria - The ENTIRE "Our Father" prayer was written in (Arberesh) Albanian.
2. Greek of Sicily - the ENTIRE "Our Father" prayer was written in Arberesh (Albanian).
3. Epirotice - the ENTIRE "Our Father" prayer was written in Albanian.
.... you know what's funny? That there was no page with the title "Albanian" - because it was called Epirotic and Greek!!! (this was common knowledge)

Please, someone challenge the Vatican, Napoleon and Pope Pius VII... cuz today's pseudo-Greeks arrivals of Anatolia and Armenia are driving us nuts. Someone is definitely lying!
Period. These are facts. It's not more complicated than that.

Everything else is forged and framed arguments by people with an agenda. We know that "Greeks" (Acheans, Thebans and other mixed Pelasgo-Phoenicians) have always applied an expansionist agenda (of course, they're Phoenician blood). Therefore, they can't be trusted, especially if all "historical accounts" come from "Greeks" from a looong time ago.
If there's one thing to learn form the story of the Trojan Horse, it's to never trust the "Greeks", Masters of Deceit.

Epirus was never coined as Greek. Strabo does not say that and neither Thucydides.

Your remarks about the letter aitch in English H or eta in Greek could not be more inaccurate. It is neither an accent nor a modifier of any kind in ancient Greek or any other language. Rather it is a definite article, in other words it represents in ancient Greek the English word the. As in the Orraon. The place known as Orraon. I would anticipate that a PhD level graduate student in history would find it worthwhile to make sure of the accuracy of any and all claims made in his lectures whether he has a background in classical languages or not. Good grief dude
