They already had Luke fox as batwing, a super cool iron man type Batman character. Why not just expand on him? They love making new black characters to occupy existing roles rather than have them be something new. Heck what have they done with cyborg in the last 20 years comics wise? Other than shoe horn him into the jl and have him be a side character.

Fun fact: In the comic Batman Vol.1 issue 701 we find out that Bruce's favorite food is mulligatawny soup. Mulligatawny soup is a spicy soup usually made with meat, vegetables, rice, and curry spices.

I don't hate the idea. It's interesting but I really wish he'd be his own hero with his own name. There's been too many guys who used to be Batman- Nightwing, Gordon, Azrael, etc and it never lasts. I wish they would give him the Steel treatment from back in the day and have him have his own thing.

This would have been interesting as it's own story showcasing a NEW hero. I'd have been interested if you did that. Batman is and always will be Bruce Wayne. And if you think I'm wrong watch the sale numbers fall after curiosity has peaked. Create NEW CHARACTERS and stop stealing the mantle of pre-established ones

Batman is one of the few characters where race swapping doesn't work without changing core aspects of the character. An example would be Bruce Wayne growing up into an incredibly wealthy and aristocratic family. Also, we already have BatWing so this is just pointless and redundant.
