Diving Into the Fishing Hole—What I Found Surprised Me!

How many trout did you see?

The fishing was slow, so I grabbed my GoPro and dove straight into the river to see what was really going on underwater!

Sometimes when the bite completely shuts off, you’ve got to take matters into your own hands and have some fun.

In this short, I explored the fishing hole from below the surface and uncovered where the fish were hiding.

Whether you’re into fly fishing, river fishing, or just love seeing underwater action, this is a unique look at fish behavior on a tough day.

I love the duality of "false casting will spook the fish" and "jumping in the water and swimming after them will not spook the fish"

Looks like I'd catch all the whitefish and no trout

I get that in some rivers here, 90% of them are suckers and a few actual trout. When you first see them you think you've hit a gold mine, then realize they are too dumb to eat your flies.

In the world of eat or be eaten, in the water fish are in their natural environment and natural habitat they can easily avoid big predators by getting in small locations. Any fish relatively in a similar size can’t eat each other so Now you know.

Flies? Buddy. . .

Sometimes you just got to throw a San Juan worm. . . Or quite possibly just the real thing. . Anywhere I have ever fished for trout across the states every single time, it's nightcrawlers or earthworms. . . Trout candy I call em'
