I remember this song from Anastasia, one of my favorite movies when I was a kid and to see her skate/dance to it so beautifully brought tears to my eyes. She is so talented!!

Everyone here is bringing their love for Yuri on Ice... But I just came to see someone skate to this amazing song, because SOMEONE had to do it, and I'm SO GLAD that she did. As much as I love anime (and gay anime at that) Anastasia is the REAL reason most people clicked on this video. And you all know it. XD (Either that or you genuinely just love ice skating, and watch all videos of it, everywhere. But I'm pretty certain MOST of you are here because of the song.)

This was so beautiful! Especially the final part! Ohhh the pain! When i was 15 i realized that i was born to fly on ice. The bad part is that where i live there isnt't any ice or even ice rings, and I was already too old to learn it. It breaks my heart. Ah. But I keep dancing when i'm alone at home. I put on music like this or Tchaikovsky and just dance amd slide with my socks on. I know it's not the same, but it makes me so happy everytime i do it. Seriously i can't stay one day without floorsocking. I know the feeling i have when skiing, and if i close my eyes and remember that feeling while sliding on the woodfloor I can imagine very vividly what it would be like to skate on ice. Ah... what would be of us without imagination?

I like that in figure skating the athletes aren’t expected to have a smile plastered on their face throughout the whole performance, it feels more emotional when they’re not smiling creepily and dead behind the eyes lol

I'm hear because I love this song, but I also love Evgenia. She has come so far, from being under that abusive coach of hers (fuck that coach tbh, she just breaks female Russian skaters, and it's heartbreaking to see) and being criticized for being "too dramatic" to breaking out of her shell and becoming the amazing skater she is today. It's really incredible to see. So many people have spoken badly of her, saying that she adds to much flair to her skates or is overdramatic with her facial expressions, but frankly, I believe her artistry is her biggest appeal. Too many people care more about other, younger skaters, such as those who kept comparing her to Alina throughout the 2018 Olympics, just because they can fit in more technical points into their routine, disregarding the fact that Evgenia will always be the best skater when it comes to the utter emotions and beauty she brings to the art. She will be an utter legend in figure skating history.
