You can convert any of your videos into 3D with left-right shift so as to give a real depth effect.

That can't give good results. It will look like when a TV does it on the fly.
A software can't interpret the content. So it doesn't know what belongs at what depth.
A good 3D convertion needs many hours of handwork.

After I import the file, when I choose the output format, the preview screen is black, there is no screen, and the file is not found after conversion. My system is win10.

What it is though is i have a first gen vive vr headset i got really cheaply but I want to experience good vr so I’m going to need at Least a pc with a 1080ti gpu so am just waiting in the meantime for the prices to go down . I however would like to just experience 2d games in 3D through the vr headset on my laptop which is an i5 4th gen with Radeon r7 360 gpu - so its under the vive/steam vr min requirements . On my laptop 2d games run on it with medium to high settings quite well so am wondering if I can just run the games and this 3D shader software directly through windows without having to use steam vr and get it to work directly ? Am guessing though the games may not look as good as with a high end pc but if they look okay it would be great ? Do you know if I can do this ? Cheers

I could use some help with Gear VR using Galaxy S7 edge. I'm trying 2 different things to get the most out of watching 3D movies on my VR. 1st being I'm trying to convert my 2D movies to 3D and what I would like to know is what setting I should use in my converter program such as format, resolution, audio, and should  use full side by side or half side by side? Also I'm going to take what 3D movies I do have and convert them so I could use them in my VR so I would to get some settings for this also. I've tried finding a video here on youtube but haven't been able to find one that explains the whole process in detail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
