Fun fact: When the creators and cast discovered that the show was getting cancelled after the last season, the team pretty much said "fuck it, you thought we were unhinged before? Oh we're just getting started buddy" and dialed the insanity from 10 to 38. When the VA for Otis was heard recording his lines from the producer, he straight up said "What are you going to do? Cancel us more?", and thus chaos ensued...and that's the level of petty I aspire to be

No but why were all the 3D cartoons so unhinged. This show absolutely blew my mind with its humor. All the running gags, random events and occurrences, no character was off limits to getting ripped on, witty 4th wall breaks, and overall nonsensical plot. This and Jimmy neutron were just amazing shows.
