Welcome to an early spring walking tour in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, during the war.

Discover the architecture of Kyiv's city centre as we explore the streets of this city on cold grey day. In this video we will walk around the following streets: Yaroslaviv Val, Volodymyrska St, Bohdana Khmel'nyts'koho St, Khreschatyk St, and Independence Square.

The highlight of this walk is Independence Square, or Maidan Nezalezhnosti, a symbol of Kyiv's rich history, resilience of Ukrainian people, and now also a heartbreaking area with flags, commemorating people who died defending Ukraine.

I visited Kyiv for a week in 2018, loved every single day there. Also took a day trip to Chernobyl. I really hope to be able to come again in the future, fingers crossed this terrible war will finally end soon. Good luck Ukraine.
