I was a young 21 year old who moved to NYC from the Midwest just a year before and the memory is still vivid in my mind. Peace to all those souls impacted

My son was 6 months old that day and he had been suffering from colic. He was up the night before, so when I was watching the events unfold that morning, it took me awhile to truly understand what was happening. Partly because I was tired, and obviously because I was so shocked. The loss of life and chaos that day will always be remembered, as will the incredible way our Country came together to stand against anyone who would hurt us. RIP to all who lost their lives. We will never forget 🙏😔♥️🇺🇸

It has been 22 years ago today. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was there 12 hours after the towers fell working at ground zero. This year I posted a video with new pictures never released. May those who ran in while others ran away never be forgotten.

It made me tear up a bit watching this (then again, I was not born the day it happened). My heart goes out to all the victims.

Witnessing the WTC attacks on Australian television news 22 years ago, on September the 11th.Was the worst thing I have ever seen, and ever 'will see'. Absolutely sick to the stomach.
Will never forget this day America. Paying my respects to the 2, 977 innocent lives lost. Thoughts go out to families of the deceased. And to those who have long term health effects due to the pollutants in the air from the twin towers site.

the glory that will be revealed to us.". ✝

I still can't watch anything about it without crying. I was in London on the first flight i could get out of the US and the park in front of the American Embassy was absolutely covered with flowers, teddy bears and a book signed by locals for us. ❤
I was in NY within a month following and the signs of the missing still haunt me.
On 9/11 I was in Reston, VA which is immediately outside DC. I worked for Pfizer at the time and our building was evacuated.
I'll never forgot seeing the 2nd building collapse while watching it on a tv our IT guy ran accross the street to purchase for us from Best Buy, the Pentagon smoking, walking through the nearly vacant Dulles Airport once they reopened it, the tiny statue of George Washington outside Trafalgar Square that had a dozen or more little flowers left at his feet, getting hugs from random strangers in London as soon as they learned I was American or especially the panic. Some people were calling into radio stations to report car bombings and whatnot on top of the real danger that day.
God the anxiety... still.

I wasn’t even a thought when this happened. My mother was in her US History class and watched everything unfold. 22 years later, I’m almost 18, I wasn’t even there or alive, but I cry every year on this day for these people. This should have never happened. Today binds our country, in mourning, for a while.

My sincere condolences and immense feelings go out to all the families and acquaintances of the victims, and also to those who suffer from this immensely sad tragedy. I will never forget that day, even though I wasn't born in the year of 9/11. Yet I see a lot about that day when the world stopped. My sincere condolences directly here from Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Anyone who lost a loved one that day and feel they just can't go on anymore just remember that love always wins against hate and life goes on....My oldest kids ( a twin boy and girl) were born 1 year after 9/11 and they have been a great joy in our lives. ..Also many African Nations have a 13 month calender and 9/11 is and always will be there NYE so if you see a big celebrations on this night this is why.
