Cuckoo clock chiming

My cuckoo clock chiming at midnight.

It is a German handmade Black Forest cuckoo clock by Hubert Herr.

My family used to have an antique clock fairly similar to this one when I was little, but one of those hanging pinecone looking things broke off, and some of the internal mechanisms started malfunctioning, and my pops sold it because we’d fallen on hard times with the Great Recession/housing crisis, and we needed money. I understand it, but I genuinely wish we still had it. It was such an alluring and fascinatingly ornate piece, and I remember being so enamored with it as a young kid. Lovely memories… somber… but lovely.

My aunt had one of those. Sadly, it broke a long time ago.

I remember i had one in my house when i was little. We had it in the living room and when it got near to the hour, me n my siblings would go to the living room n wait for the bird to come out. Great memories 🥺❤

Pretty sure my grandparents had this exact clock, maybe the clock itself looked different but the counterweights are identical

Unsure of its fate, had no place in the home post redecorating
