Damn that was hard! Missions to Mercury usually use the other planets to slow the ship down in order to reach the orbit of mercury, because closer you get to the sun, more Delta V you need:D

The reason to make to mercury orbit is very hard because mercury is closer to the sun and that means not only you have to slow down to not escape the sphere of influence of mercury but also the orbit around the sun

Mercury is so hard to go back to if you landed already. I tried to go to Mercury and back but I ran out of fuel before reaching Earth reentry. A refuel mission is nessesary unless if you use gravity from other planets to slow down. Infinite build mode would be useful too.
