Great Products! I can see a great future infront of Web OS and the devices using it. Cheers!

@emaljan123 The important thing is not how many units sold. It's all about how good the devices are. Quality, not quantity.

This looks pretty good I will certainly consider the next web os phone with up to date hardware but the palm 3 is unfortunately not an option due to it's ancient hardware

The webOS can handle flash so much better than Android OS...just to show u don't need to dissable it for flash to work on a tablet.

@farestabs I'm not sure that dual core CPUs are a killer argument on smartphones. After all, both the OS and the applications need to make proper use of it. Many programming languages (including Python, for example) are unable to use multiple cores, and sometimes a process "flaps" between both cores, which takes time.
Important is a snappy GUI, if the user feels he has to wait for a reaction the device will be considered "slow", no matter what hardware is used.

@farestabs You made me curious: What part of the hardware is "ancient"? I just checked the tech specs again and it all looks pretty decent.

@farestabs No no, WebOS wasn't in Python. It was just a well known example that came to to my mind. There are others as well, not sure if they play any role on WebOS at all. Hm, Python would be a different topic, but many well known applications have been written in it. Multi threading on multi core systems is sometimes a difficult beast on any programming language. Locking and caching comes to my mind, for example.

Just walking by to see how iOs seven got some of its "inspiration"....

@cptsalek it's just a processor clocked at 1GHz my Captivate can do that so it's not something that will WOW me plus the hummungbird is still notorious for it's GPU performance and is still going strong. A dual core wouldn't have hurt and to think they will announce it in the summer means dual cores would be as abundant as single cores in a phone and more powerful chips would be just around the corner! What do you think?

I bought one yesterday, played with it, found out its heavy and disappointing, and sold it for $75 for a $30 loss.

@colacitrusmtn My understanding is that it's functional again - can anyone confirm?

@farestabs
Python is not 'too basic', and it is used in alot of programs. It is only people like you who don't actually know the language assume that it is. And its lagging becuase its STILL IN DEVELOPMENT. Now do you need anything else explained to you like a baby?

@cptsalek omg so you're saying WEBOS was written on python?? Python isn't a powerful programming language and is too basic most people don't use it. Stop giving manufacturers excuses to lag in terms of software( dual core utilization ) and hardware.
