It's been hard to watch this recovery/rescue operation as the updates come out periodically. God be with the victims and their families, the world is praying for each of you.

Why? From what's come out: ignoring the signs, a company asking for "too much" money for repairs, thinking this could never happen to them, and "slow motion mode." (Remember that natural gas explosion in the California Bay Area? People had smelled the "rotten eggs' but the "wheels never turned" to get it fixed....

I'm not from Florida but this is so sad beyond belief anytime I see any news from it I want to start crying like a baby
Rest in peace to the victims

Gov. Ron Desantis, if you really care do something for the surrounding buildings immediately, to make sure that they are safe. As you are well aware of the climate crisis The Rising seas. I would suggest that not only is the water rising but also seeping under.

Does the Florida government think people can survive 7 days after being buried? Republicans show the funny side of rescue.

A survey released Tuesday ranked the United States last among 46 countries in media trust, falling below democracies and autocracies across the world.

The survey, commissioned by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, was conducted among 92, 000 people worldwide, and found that among those in the U.S., just 29% said they trusted their news media the majority of the time. Finland ranked the highest at 65%, while Slovakia, Hungary and France each ranked just above the U.S. at 30%.

Unlike other counties which saw trust in the media increase this year compared to last, trust in American media remained mostly flat.

I wonder when the corporate press will talk about this... 🤔

Why are we not hearing from the owners of this building? Reporters should be asking them why they ignored the engineers who told them it needed maintenance and was deteriorating! This is just heartbreaking and could have been avoided.

they better demolish the rest of the building fast, because the hurricane comes and blow all debris all over the place and ocean

I was wondering does the State of Florida even consider calling most counties from outside of Miami to help? I feel like the search can go faster.

One week stop lying to the families that need closure!

The Governor is the one that relaxed the building laws to help his rich friends. The sort of thing Republican politicians do all the time! He should be thrown out of power, at least!

We always chanted ‘we are number 1’. The sloppy rescue effort is unacceptable

I honestly think if the general public were searching that pile more people would have been found, there may have been injuries but if you watch war zones, regular citizens are pulling people out of rubble all the time. It's the health and safety that's slowing everything down.
