The History of Alert Ready

Hey all! This is a switch up from my usual videos, but here we are. Quebec and Yukon were excluded, due to sparse results in English. I would've translated for all the French-Canadians out there, but it's pretty meh.

(My horrible translation)

So Oilberta basically invented the Canadian EAS and the rest of the country was just like "yeah, this is pretty good. We should use this nationwide."

The fact that my grandma still has a cable TV in the first time this happened is when I was sleeping inside my grandpa’s room by myself and then it just came up on TV and I was really curious when it just started I got shook

I like how the CityTV JumboTron at 16:36 copies the same thing we're seeing.

AEA came before Alert Ready, and it’s the reason the Alert Ready tone sounds like the AEA tone.

Quebec actually does have English Alert Ready alerts. Every time I hear an amber alert, it starts in English and finishes in French.

14:54 What the announcer really wanted to say: "Alright, enough of that bullshit, now lets get back to the show."

16:36 isn’t it funny how the eas matches up with the one playing on the tv in the background?

As a Canadian I can say this is true:
Amber Alert: ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË
Tornado Watch: ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË
Nukes: ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË ÆÆÆËËË

If your canadian and dont relate, your fake.

Yukon had a alert ready back in last year on a radio station for an active shooter, you can update this one and add the Yukon one there

There actually is a Québec EAS alert that’s in English. It’s the test from May 7th 2015 the same day the Ontario 2015 test of May was done
