I have to admit, my first time riding a GSXR I was equally as excited as CHEYLEESI.

Suzuki makes a GSX 750 naked sport bike with a more upright seating position. It's like a cross between a standard and sport bike. That's probably the Golden ticket for you Chey.

I was raised in the foster system from the time I was six years old until I was 18 years old. Do to that I suffer from depression and social anxiety. I have very few friends. My Harley is my therapy. I wish I could make more friends. And I wish I could meet people who ride. The friends I do have don't ride, and do not have the passion that I have for riding motorcycles. I tried a gsxr, but after I bought my MT-09. So I hated it. I think if I tried it before, when all I rode was Harley’s. I probably would’ve hated slightly less. There was no getting around it being the most uncomfortable thing on 2 wheels. It makes old Sportsters seem comfy and that’s saying something, because I’d be more comfortable on a rock with wheels than a Sportster. The allure of speed was quickly drowned out by my dissatisfaction with the body position and knowing it isn’t faster than my MT-09. Also the cold isn’t bad. I’d rather throw on an extra layer than be naked wondering what else I can take off to cool down. We live in a day of technology. No longer do you have to be like Randy from A Christmas Story. A pair of wool thermals under a thin insulated jacket and I’m happily riding like I did today when it’s in the 30’s when the sun goes down. Also Goretex. That stuff is amazing and should come in everything. It’s hot Goretex. It’s cold Goretex. Your wife smacks you with a frying pan for paying more attention to the neighbors dog than her.. Goretex!

Great ride! I LOVE the GSX-R750. That's the bike that made me want to ride. Now I'm in love with the GSX-s750. Pretty much the same bike only the naked version. And more upright seating so it's much more comfortable. Same hair on fire speed though. 🏍️💨🔥

if a sales person suggests a smaller-displacement bike, they're not doing it to be mean - they're probably basing it on your body size and composition, figuring that 1) a physically smaller motorcycle doesn't require a lot of brute strength to ride safely, and 2) a 350cc twin, with a 100-lb rider, will accelerate as fast (if not faster) as a literbike with 180+ lbs on board.

they're not sayin' that smaller riders shouldn't ride heavy bikes, but that a lighter bike is usually easier for a small-framed person to control.

Glad you are open to new experiences, Chey. Just once in your life, you need to get on not just a sports bike, but a liter bike. Anything over 150 horsepower will do. Get on a wide open highway with NO traffic ahead, go through a few gears, and get your arms stretched. There ain't nothing else like it.

Same thing happened to me. Born and raised on Harleys, then got to test drive a sport bike and ever since then I've had a need for speed
