When I was in first grade, Poppa brought home a brand new 59 4 door wagon, blue. We put the miles on that car traveling and camping all over the eastern USA. Lady slammed into it on a snowy icy morning so Pop found a gray one to keep us going a few more years. Thanks for the memories.

A really nice rare piece of history. Definitely a keeper. Some people say a wagon is worthless or they trick it out and throw in an LS. I say restore it as is and let people see some true American engineering.

Get a spray bottle, go get some peppermint oil, 5 or 6 drops, and fill with water, mix well, spray it all over, the mice hate the smell

Super restorable wagon. Wagons are my favorite, I offered a guy ten grand for a complete, but non-running 59 Parkwood.... it had a stuck 283 powerglide. He turned down my offer. It need floors too, like all GM cars of that era. The wagons are super hard to find. No one saved them. I have seen wagons sell for more than convertibles.... who would think that would ever happen. You stated something about the failure in the trans??? There super simple little gear boxes. Easy to rebuild. The synchro clutch is hard to find, and expensive, a good used gear box may be worthwhile. Do one of those sedans in the background have good gear box in one of them maybe? Often it's worn out linkage, that cause shifting issues. I weld up the ware, and replace the rubber bushings, often correcting any shifting issues. Your power steering pump even has the correct 59 reservoir on it. Looks like the correct front pulley, fan and aluminum front too. Often rebuilders install the non power steering stuff, on the power steering generator. Looks like a nice unmolested thats rare for a 61 year old car! By the way, Shermans makes floor pan repair panels, and complete pans, with braces too. There reasonably priced too, but you do need a good MIG welder that you can turn the amperage down for welding them in. I love your Brookwood! Take good care of it.

Would like to see it running and driving, not dieing in a garage, would definitely be a better choice than the crap they're building today

This car needs to be restored. Not many examples of the '59 2 door Brookwood left.

Why don’t you wash it correctly with soap, water and then polish the car before you store it? Oh yeah, and don’t forget a cover for it too

What do you mean permanent storage ? Will she see the road again ? I'm sure they make floor pans for that. If not, get them made. That's a cool wagon. I'm not a Chevy person, but that's cool and needs to saved. Good luck.

That is a killer wagon! Any chevy 2 door wagon after 57 is rare and that’s got to be one of the more rare ones. ✊

I am absolutely in love with this car. Not so much the floors but props to you young man! Never give up! Never give in. Get your house, turn it into a home, and keep the car! Most of all keep the dream. God be with you

I had a '59 four door Kingswood wagon many years ago. I regret not having it now. Being a one year only design all of the 1959 Chevy models are getting rare.

The transmission went out on dad's '59 in 1965. He parked it on the street, it got towed, and left him with $2400 of debt.

Loving your channel, I recently bought a 59 kingswood. I’ve always been a c-10 guy but have since fell in love with these 59’s. Glad to see you saving so many of them.
