Skid Row is one of those bands that has some excellent, but very hard to find albums on vinyl. Thankfully, a big section of their catalog was recently reissued in a 7 LP boxed set called "Skid Row-The Atlantic Years: 1989-1996". In this video, I'll review the set and explain differences between the pressings featured against original pressings, RSD pressings and Rocktober pressings from the past.

Another great video, late to the party in picking this set up but a few months ago Amazon had it on sale for $80 bucks and could not pass it up and still had the misprint on the spine of the live EP.

I used to just collect just cds but I recently started collecting vinyls as well and I bought this box set impulsively because I love skid row but I especially love sebastian’s voice. after seeing ur video i’m a lot more confident in my purchase lol

my main knock on this is the paper inner sleeves. It couldnt have cost that much more for some nicer anti static sleeves. Price wise i got mine for $185. The sound on these records is great to me which is the main thing.

Very informative video! They did a great job on these sets. I still wish they included some bonus tracks though. The vinyl set seems like a great value for the price especially since two of them were only ever released on cd

i didn't knew that the subhuman race album costs more than this boxset, i have an original german pressing of that record, thanks for the tip man.

I wasn’t really a fan until I saw them with Pantera! but I was really young and not that bright back than lol. I picked up the set just to have it I have a few copies of the self titled, The RSD Of Slave and the same copy of B Sides that you had mentioned! I actually never gave Subhuman Race a chance until a few days on my long drive home from work and I regret not giving it a chance but glad I now have a copy on vinyl thanks for the review I really enjoyed what you had to say about it and can’t wait to open mine up!!

I’m really surprised that they didn’t include the same tracks that are on the RSD release. I wonder if they did that simply to separate the two releases, and so that the RSD release retains its value.

Thanks for the video. I'd love the boxset, specifically for Skid Row on record. However the price to get it here in NZ is insane. Just worked it out at $38USD per individual record. And I already own the two pressings of Slave to the Grind. I'll probably hold out for a future Skid Row re-press.

Greatest version of Slave to the Grind is without doubt Sebastian Bach’s very own personal copy of the original pressing.

If any of you haven’t seen his video comparing the two, you’re missing out.

🤣🤣🤣

Good ol’ Saint Nick should be delivering this boxset to me, so I’ll look forward to getting it on the turntable.

Awesome video; I just liked and subscribed.

I posted a review for it on my channel too. It's a great set but it needed some bonus material and new liner notes/essays/etc.

Agree, I think the RSD Slave to the Grind sounded fine, I’ve had the first press since it came out. I think Bach wanted to be.a bit butthhurt by it given he’d no involvement with it, but why should he have had an involvement with that release?

if you were expecting complete exact reproductions of the original pressings then why even bother buying it? of course they changed the labels and a few other things... i'd definately want some upgrades
and not to mention, this boxset had the band somewhat involved. the RSD releases did not

This box set is released by BMG. Atlantic Records are belong to Warner Music. I assume BMG doesn't have a right to use that label.
