Finding polite and different ways to say "you're wrong" or "I disagree" can be a difficult skill to learn, even for native English speakers. While some phrases are generally more polite than others, disagreeing with someone politely depends on not only the words you choose but your intonation, facial expressions, body language, etc.

As with all of my English lessons, I encourage you to shadow or mimic these English phrases not only for pronunciation but stress and intonation as well. It's especially important to pay attention to these non-verbal aspects of communication (communication beyond the literal words spoken) when disagreeing with someone or trying to politely show them that they are wrong or incorrect.

There are so many different English phrases you could use to disagree, so I chose just a few to get you started:

00:00 Introductions
00:12 I totally disagree. / I completely disagree.
00:49 I couldn't disagree more.
01:44 I don't think so.
02:50 That can't be right.
03:47 I think you're mistaken. (most formal/polite)

I like how you noticed the IPA is sometimes not correct about the most popular way to say it! Have you heard of Eye dialect?
