Only way to check depth accurately with rod is with a marker float ( like us carp fisherman ) apart from deeper sonar which you can’t cast as far. Like Steve says a lot of variables.

Preston distance master .3 rods there which will cover all distances. And not as dear as Steve's rods .Still if can afford them .then go for it 😆.

Top angler could watch listen and you all day long, lm getting a bit old at 78 any more rods, started leadgering in 60s with a sportex Feynman and a Ken Smith anyone remember them

Fishedferry meadows on the nene bank at Milton ferry chucking up to a buoy probably 50/60 mtr a yacht came along did a turn at the buoy tipped the bloke out he stood up in the water I hadn’t got a metre of depth .got some nice bream though and got a payout

Never seen Steve look so comfortable in a interview type situation. The rods look amazing but unfortunately a bit out of my league.

I don't see any rationale in the casting distance - atmospheric pressure correlation from the scientific angle - excuse the pun. It makes little to no sense to me. One of these superstitious claims can ruin the credibility of the whole thing.

It would take the financial clout of a millionaire to buy every rod that is recommended for different styles of angling. Not to mention the price of the top of the range poles. An expensive piece of kit does not make an angler any better. Keep that in mind when you are being fleeced by the manufacturers.
