A lot of comments here on what was Joe Morton's best role, I don't think he ever did anything where he didn't make his role "best", and the man has done a LOT.

I met him in real life and he is so nice! He is truly the complete opposite of Papa Pope! Great guy and a great actor!

I got shivers even while watching this interview. Also this is probably the most nuanced take on how we talk about race has come from an actor. Loved it.

I agree with Joe. Someone sitting on the sidelines watching a racial slur being said would be no better than the guy spitting the slur. In other words, do something to stop that kind of bullying. I understand as human beings we prefer the middle ground. We don't want to not say anything but at the same time we don't want to get involved and get ourselves in trouble for dealing the situation and that's why we prefer to be sideliners but we gotta stop it and do something to counter racism

Wow. What a powerful comment at the end. Indifference is something that needs to be addressed

Love me some Joe Morton! As an someone who doesn't follow any god, religion, or similar idea of a higher/supernatural power, the trailers I saw for this show completely turned me off. Now, how Joe Morton describes it, this show sounds more measured and complex than I initially thought. I'm going to check it out this Sunday. Especially to see the master actor, Joe Morton!

I love his voice. I will always remember when he read Fitz to the ground! "YOU ARE A BOY!"

I've only seen a few episodes of "God Friended Me" simply because I don't have cable TV anymore, but the handful of episodes that I have seen were very interesting. I was impressed.

I love Joe Morton, he's such an amazing man and actor! I've enjoyed everything I've seen him in and can't wait to watch his new show, but for me, personally, he will always be Henry from Eureka;)

The difference of course is the black man didn't leave his house that day choosing to be black. Where as the kid chose to put on his red hat.
