We finally got a powerful version of Ra. I felt like the way they revealed him and the way the camera angles were cut or the cinematography aspects always made him look weak compared to Obelisk and Slifer but FINALLY we saw him shine through darkness and defeat Diabound

They really were not lying when they said that the Ancient Egyptians truly did play the game with monsters. The only difference was that they played with real gods and real monsters. In the dub it’s over 3000 years before present, but in the original Japanese, it’s five millennia before present.

Bakura does not have very good luck with the Winged Dragon of Ra.

He gets banished into the shadow realm by Ra in season three. He evolves his diabound multiple times stealing numerous monster abilities including blue eyes and Slifer.

Despite all of that Diabound gets one shot by Ra and Bakura had to cheat in order to not lose.
