Great upload. My ancestor that fell at the Alamo was John Garvin. He fell at the West wall, manning a 6 pound cannon. He came from South Carolina.

I live in Bonham but have only been here 4 years. This is one of the best rural counties in all of Texas! The people are awesome. As someone who has moved a lot, I can really appreciate how amazing it is that Fannin County has a very high amount of multigenerational family residents. I’ve met so many people who have lived here their whole lives and so have several generations of their family. That’s rare these days. I think it goes to show what a great place this is! I’ve also been surprised to learn all the history in this area!

My great great great grandma (Hulda Elizabeth Hawkins Keene )lived in Bonham, near Garnett’s Bluff. Her daughter (Lizzie Keene) went to school with Sam Rayburn. ❤

Bonham is a great place to live and work. I work at the VA. Bonham is great for people who want to serve their community and be left alone.

I live here and I can tell you right now for those who want to visit it is a pretty good town and maybe if you ever visit you might want to live here
