Jokes aside, while I'm not convinced by the new CL format, I'm in favor of not dropping teams to lower cups, including EL teams dropping to ECL. The second and third cup should be realistic aims for weaker sides on top leagues and the top sides in weaker league, with the drop down system we keep seeing the usual suspects

This is why AFC is better. ACL is unique tho, they have 40 teams divided into 2 regions. That means Group A is full of clubs from Western Asia and Group J is full of teams from Eastern Asia kinda like UCL but with MLS elements.
