How To Cut Pre-Cubed Foam Block - Customise Your Foam

We made this user guide video to help you cut pre-cubed foam blocks so you can customise your own foam inserts. Method of cutting can also be applied for standard solid foam. Links to Flight Case and tools used below:

Step-by-step procedure as seen in the video:

1) Place items on the foam block for reference

2) Mark out the shape(s) you wish to remove from the foam to the nearest cube

3) The StyroSten 3-in-1 Tool is great for cutting foam

4) Features interchangeable cutting heads

5) Switch to the Hot Knife for the best results

6) Cut along the intersection of the pre-cubed join

7) Carefully remove the foam

8) Use a knife or saw to cut the foam in half

9) Masking Tape is recommended for marking

10) A standard knife is also suitable for cutting foam

11) Marker pens, toothpicks and pins can also be used for marking

12) With all sections cut, place the foam into the case

13) Place the items into your newly cut inserts

That foam was already pre cut. I think this guy just wanted to get high from the toxic gases of burning the polyurethane. And it looks horrible.

i found surgical tape works the best rather than masking tape or painters tape

Rough edges. Would rather just used cubed than doing that. Need more precision method.
