We bring you another video from our new series "Did you know?" This time we go back to the 20th century America and the dangerous times of the Cold War. In the middle of Pentagon's courtyard, there was a hot dog stand - a small cafe-like building where Pentagon's officers usually dined during lunch time every day. Soviets thought that the hot dog stand was in fact a top secret meeting room where military officials were going to receive orders and instructions, while the Pentagon's building was a gigantic fortress built around to protect it. Reportedly, the Russians always had no less than 2 ICBM missiles aimed at the hot dog stand. Russians never confirmed this story was true. Later, the building earned nickname “Cafe Ground Zero.” The hot dog stand was closed in 2006 and Pentagon announced that a new cafe will be built in its place. Let's hope that this time Russians won't be aiming any missiles at it :)
