As an American The fact that a leader can call his own election is whack considering we have fixed election dates

I'd much rather see a breakdown comparison of policies than a focus on character. To me, a politician is a politician no matter what party. I know a lot of people like to focus on character, and even base their vote on that, but I don't see how relevant one person in a party is going to be once everything's said and done.
