1:05 Seeing a picture of Noisetracker 2.0 almost brought a tear to my eye. It (Amiga 500) had two left and two right channels. If you wanted a kick and snare centered, you had to have them on two tracks. They did give you complex options though, basically Elektron style parameter locks in 1991. I had hundreds of samples with names like D-20 and D-50, M1piano etc. The names made more sense later when I discovered hardware synths.

Hello Mr. Knobs. Like the last comment I just saw...I like you also. Your approach to this unique INSTRUMENT is also unique. Considering this unit, which brought me here along with other vids. Yours was the one that may inspire me to acquire. The reason is the experimental environment this workflow inspires, and the ability to not only go nearly anywhere but also direct the direction. Just beautiful, thank you this was exactly how I was imagining that this thing could be used; but with a little difference, the sounds that I was hearing in my head were more of the synth nature and a little bit of found sound, I think the possibilities are endless.

I love seeing so many different vibes coming out of this device! Seems like such a wild and useful compositional tool. I have a model samples and don’t really gel with it because once I make something it’s much more difficult to know what’s going on. This, though there is depth, there’s a place where the info is, like the instrument number and what is happening on each step. Thanks for showing a different approach here!
