I have had an overbite for as long as i can remember and i never even knew it was unnatural. I've been to the dentist countless times and shown my teeth to many people yet not a single person has said its a problem that needs to be fixed, Now im over 20 and it really sucks not knowing this earlier.

Wow, I didn’t realize that my overbite could be contributing to some of my common oral problems. Biting the lip and tongue was pretty blatant, but the faster wearing (in addition to my grinding at an early age) feels significant enough to address. I’ll be sure to get some opinions on way to proceed next time I’m at the dentist.

I have an overbite and it sucks. I hate it. It ruins my whole face and the only way I can get rid of it is with braces. But I don’t want braces people at my school will bully me for them. 😢

That was a very good explanation of overbite. I had mine corrected when I was 40. Now at 76 Im having it corrected again. Guess Im used to the braces now. The problem that came back to haunt me was breaking lower ftont teeth with my bite. Options yo correct are limited. Thus, the braces again.

Is your bite supposed to be with your jaws as relaxed as you can? I’m 32 and in braces for jaw surgery… they thought my bite was okay, but I think my jaw is just usually tensed back, and if relaxed it seems more like I have an underbite

As an adult I had upper premolars extracted to compensate for my not fully developed lower jaw. Currently the braces pull my top teeth inwards so both jaws align as well as the rubber bands help me resolve the deep bite and I also got a reverse curve of Spee wire to shift my lower teeth down and outwards. It’s a lot but I actually enjoy the process of getting straighter more attractive teeth🦷✨😊

I have my overbite from my grandma although mine for some reason is more severe, kids my age would make fun of me for my overbite and i would have difficulty closing my mouth and chewing, i just got braces last year and and in the process of fixing it, hope my mouth gets better 🙏🏻

I have an overbite which can be prominently seen in pictures but when i consulted a dentist he suggested me to not get braces because i had no gap between my teeth and said i could shave my teeth to get gap for braces but it might end up damaging my teeth in future.... I am really insecure of my smile and it makes me less confident to talk to new people.... Can you help me or suggest me anything... Please

you dont actually need any of those things to fix an over bite, its all about body realignment, been there fix it.
