I hope this series is successful, the first episode was terrific! Love your work but the technical level often exceeds our experience in the first 30 seconds. It’s nice to get a full, detailed explanation in an understandable manner from an instructor we trust. Thanks!

Having started my own channel months ago, Ian amazed at how you deliver professional, well thought out videos time after time. Your approach to delivering trusted and informative reviews is appreciated as I do not have a huge budget like most ordinary folks. You'll be at 100K subs before long. Great work and thanks for the inspiration.

I really like this new series of videos coming :)
Very technical as usual and as such one the best videos on the subject online.

Great video. Funny how you are thinking along the same lines as me. In our local camera club we have so many new members and the majority are new to photography as well. I'm constantly anwering the same questions so I've been putting together a photography 101 class for the members. Glad you are helping me make a "cheat sheat" lol. This topic you started with is the first one I have to start with as well.

Excellent video, very informative and easy to understand. May I suggest a little more head room for your next video? The top of your head is almost out of the frame :) Just my 2 cents - hope to see more from this series!

Some manufacturers misleadingly refer to its products as the particular offer you more light with huge f/0.xx aperture opening,
vast majority of these lenses just aren't brighter than T 1.6 or so on.

Theoretically is possible to make lens with F-Stops with any value bigger than 0, T-Stops with any number bigger than 1, as 1 factor to nothing in front of the sensor, i.e. 100% of available photons reach light sensitive diodes.

Nice video!😊 What lens and aperture did you use for this video?? I agree with Markus Klemons that it's exceptionally smooth and defocused, and I was hoping you'd mention how you achieved that look in the video. Sony a7riii with an 85mm 1.4 at 1.4 or??

Hi Dustin, the editing program PhotoWorks Pro you recommended awhile back, it was suppose to have free lifetime updates like you stated, but they are now saying it’s only for a year now? Please advise

Dustin, I love your videos. However I did detect some chromatic aberration in this video. Please take a look at 6:46 of this video. Every time your left hand reached to the left the chromatic aberration was noticed. Once again, I love your videos. This is just an observation. Thank you!

So knowledgeable and concise. This was very refreshing. I'm looking forward to the next episode.🙂👍I would like you to do an episode on how to achieve the 3D look. I'm not talking about using a fast lens wide open either. That tends to give a flat look that's not dimensional. I'm talking about the kind of photograph where it appears the subject is growing towards you. I find those kind of photographs more appealing.
