In a way I have come "full circle" with the RSV. When I was confirmed in the Methodist church at the age of ten I was given an RSV. It was the first Bbile I ever read. Fast forward sixty years and now in my new church home (the result of two Anglican parishes merging) the readings during the services are from the RSV. I bought the Schuyler with Apocrypha and it has become my daily reader. I am really enjoying it.

I did get the red also.I really love the drop caps and all the different designs they used.I think this Bible is a real collectors Edition. Looks beautiful been looking for a RSV with the expanded apocrypha and beside this I can only find the CE versions. The Anglican canon is slightly different (larger than the catholic canon smaller than the Orthodox one). Anglican canon includes all the books of the Catholic Bible plus 1st and 2nd Esdras, and the Prayer of Mannasseh. Over all this is really cool and am thinking about picking it up.

Looks nice. A few months back, I purchased a copy of the 2024 reprint by Thomas Nelson, also nice but lacking the Apocrypha. At least I have copies of the NRSV that have the Apocrypha.

I got the red leather version as well. I didn't know if I would enjoy reading the RSV when I bought it but I am loving it.

Your reviews are awesome! I’m in my 30s and been a Christian my whole life but never knew these high end bibles even existed. With help if your reviews I’ve (with my wife’s encouragement. Lol) ordered a Schuyler quentel and it’s on the way. Until now I have always bought a $30-40 Bible and after 2-3 years it’s thrashed so even though it’s full of notes I want to keep, I’m forced to get another one. Hopefully this one is a lifer. 👍🏼 I’m ok to spend $1, 000-1, 500 on a phone or laptop but I cheap out on a good Bible?? Ha. That ends now.

I have the RSV Quintal w/Deuterocanonicals ; haven't used it much, but plan to. Wasn't a huge fan of the ESV but it may work for straight reading of the Bible. My RSV is also brick red, was quite surprised at how beautiful it is! I would have preferred the Deuterocanonicals to be in the center, but as someone pointed out when reading Revelation the Bible is more balanced for holding. 🤗 LOL

I have this one but dont think I"m a full yapp person. I find it gets in my way when i'm flipping through the Bible and I like to prop it on my stomach when reading sometimes and it folds over...argghhh! and now they've gone FY on pretty much everything in the colors I like but not in the regular. (NLT does't have the marbled merlot or blue) and can't seem to find any non FY in the RSV now. glad I grabbed the non apocrypha one in MMC. I do love this Bible though! it's beautiful
