With the new update on vd, it made pcvr accessible to so much underpowered pcs, it made the barrier to enter really low and its absolutely amazing

Ok the hand looks better, but the background under the hand is worse in SSW vs ASW, am I the only seeing it?

Way to make a comeback against oculus’s attempts to take away your sales

Elite dangerous hangers are very gpu intensive. (unoptimized) and when going through the menus over oculus link (wired) I was getting the same exact effect as air link space warp. This video showed me what the heck was happening. THANK YOU!

I'm really excited for this. I have a RX560 and I'm planning to get a Quest 2. I know my graphics card isn't great but I can't really afford a better one where I live, so I hope this will definitely help make the Quest 2 be more viable for PCVR. Thanks for your work!

Just tried the ssw on my potato pc with rx 570, tried it with quest2 at 90hz..
in beat saber it is unusable because of the horrible ghosting, so the 80 fps my pc can get with 1'0 resolution scaling is far better.., kinda works in gorn, but there is some ghosting too, the game has almost no graphics settings, so again, 80fps my pc can do in 1, 0 res is better..
i got the best results in robo recall, where i get 80 fps normally but on lowest settings in 1, 0 and even that sometimes sttuters, almost no ghosting with ssw, , i could set res to 1, 4, 2xaa and high details and it still shows 90fps. However, its true that its not as fluent as these 80fps without ssw, but its useable.
So i think the best usage for this would be in a game that my pc cannot run in useable fps, if it worked as well as in robo recall.. it would not be ideal but i would be at least able to play it.
I will test someting like alyx and see..
Edit: just finished half life alyx, low details, 90hz with ssw, mostly fluent, only a few parts in the game stuttering. On rx570 4gb, LOL!

An upload from the bloody Mad Scientist of VR himself.
We really are in changing times.

New to PC, gaming, and VR. I only have a 1660ti and despite Half Life Alyx looking amazing, some games are terrible. I’m really excited to try this and would like to take a moment to thank you for your efforts. Virtual Desktop is hands down the best and most reliable app available for the Quest 2. Airlink doesn’t work for me at all, and I also have many standalone issues and it’s really frustrating. Your app demonstrates what is achievable for one person and clearly removes all plausibility for any excuse that FB/Oculus decide to use. Thank you! 🙏🏻✊👨‍🚒

SSW finally made no man's sky playable in VR with my Quest 2 and Virtual Desktop.

thats odd. I love VD but ASW seems to look much smoother than SSW in-game from my experience.

Wow, even though there are an alternative now I sure do not regret buying virtual desktop

So that's where the awfull artifacts come from when you're using airlink... damn!

So I've to rebuy Airlink on Quest2, correct, as my Steam purchase is now a digital paperweight? I'll do it, I just want to know.

Thank you so much for virtual desktop! It's continuing to outperform airlink and I love it.

And I was cursing because for some reason Air Link refuses to work on my PC and wanted to see ASW at work. Well, back to good old 120hz VD, now SSW'ed

I'm not asking which is better but whichever one you use should we not be forcing it anyway so we can increase the graphic settings and super sampling and play at 45 fps but feels like 90 fps but with better clarity and graphics?

I've just been using Airlink for its convenience and just making sure I reach 90 fps all the time but if I force ASW surely I can increase the sampling rate and graphics with no loss to gameplay are their any downsides?

What's everyone's thoughts?

The finger on the right moves more delayed and choppier than the finger on the left, which is a good thing?

Can this be applied to movies? Similar to SVP 4.
