2016 Dodge Viper ACR Fires Up

Last week, Dodge unleashed the most extreme version of the brand's hand-built all-American supercar, and this week, we got a closer look at the Viper ACR at a Midwest Automotive Media Association event in Elkhart Lake, Wis.

Although the ACR uses the "regular" Viper's 645-horsepower V-10 engine, it adds performance enhancements like new 10-setting, double-adjustable coilover Bilstein racing shocks that allow for 3 inches of suspension-height-adjustment tuning, high-performance 19-inch tires and Brembo carbon-ceramic matrix brakes.

Outside, it features an adjustable dual-element carbon-fiber rear wing, a carbon-fiber rear underbody diffuser, a unique hood with removable louvers, additional "dive planes" ahead of the front wheels and a detachable extension for the front air dam.

The ACR will also be a part of the Viper 1 of 1 customization program, with 8,000 exterior color options, 24,000 stripe options, 11 wheels and 16 interior trims choices.

Totally blows my mind how the GTR Nismo was being praised for how quick it was, which it is... and then the p1 and 918 came along and you heard "Well they're $1 Million dollar cars! They're gonna be faster, duh!".

LOL! Now a car that is CHEAPER by about 30K to the Nismo GTR has it beat on the track by almost 10 seconds.

But hey, AMERICAN CARS ARE JUNK! RIGHT?

dodge need to supercharge the viper i mean what took them so damn long to place a supercharger in the challenger & charger & why not do that to the viper ? that would destroy the z06 maybe when they wake up after decades we'll see .
