I agree with Carnival. They should ban the mom too

Who lets an unmedicated child out of their sight?

Ban the family too. 9 year old should nrvrt be left unchaperoned especially when the child needs behavioral medication. Thats poor parenting.

I totally agree with Carnival's decision to ban this child. Let this be a warning to irresponsible parents who lack judgment and consideration for others. Bravo Carnival!!

Good! The cruise ship is not a babysitter. If one takes a child THEY are responsible for the child AND their behavior

Mom should be banned too. 9 years old is not old enough to be running amok on a cruise ship.
What if the kid had gotten hurt or fell overboard? I bet Mom and Dad would be trying to sue the crap out of Carnival

With this type of behavior at 9 years old, banning for life is a good decision for Carnival. As for med, no one knows for sure if there is a medical issue. But still, it is a major risk for Carnival. They should have ban the parents also.

I agree 100%. Cruise ships are a luxury not a necessity.

The child was out of his medication, and his parents are out of their minds. 🙄I took my boys on many cruises when they were young. I would have never let a 9 year old roam a ship with 4000+ people that I don't know. A tough lesson here but warranted. The parents should also be banned. Just a bad situation all the way around.

All cruises companies should have the same black list. 100% agree with carnival. Parents and child banned for life.

Were the parents out of parenting? Who lets a nine year old wander around a cruise ship alone? They are the ones that should be banned!

I am pretty sure since the kid was 9 once he becomes an adult the ban can be lifted at that time👍👍👍 Also they should be happy the cruiseline waited until disembarking to do that and not just throw them off the cruise before than

it’s the parents fault, my parents would let me and my sister go about on ships but raised us better to know actions have consequences no matter the age.

He AND the parents should be banned for life. Why would you allow a 9-year old who needs to be medicated to go “explore” on his own? Then to say “he’s out of his medication!” That’s a true testament to bad parenting because SHE knows he needs meds but she got on a ship that does only 7 and 8-day sailings without it.

The parent should be banned not the kid. The mom knowingly let him go on his own at nine. That’s insane.

"No honey. I can't get on the cruise with you and the grandkids. I was banned when I was 9."

I agree with Carnival. Parents knew the kid was wild.
