You can sense a bit of shyness back then, even after all the fame and notoriety. He’s definitely come a long way. That’s something I can relate to.

I remember the black album tour. These guys should be in the history books for that tour. For that album, they toured for TWO YEARS STRAIGHT NONE STOP, literally no weekends, days off, just sleep eat and tour. Thats how they grew their reputations. And how they outsold Micheal jackson for the black album. And how they bevome the most populsr metal band on earth. They put ALL their eggs into touring basket, and it paid off going around to every town snd every state and every country in the world. These guys even played in f*cking ANTARCTICA FFS!!!

BUT touring for 2 years straight, sine concerts being four to SIX hours a show, is absolute LUDICROUSY.

I saw this tour at Irvine Meadows amphitheater. I had to pee so bad and the show would never end...

I was lucky to see the Justice tour in Denver, then they came back to Colorado and saw them again at Red Recks. Both were amazing shows! 🤘

6 new songs from the album he said. But only played 4 then dropped Eye Of The Beholder. The other ones being Blackened, And Justice For All and One

Crazy how they played that long of shows for decades. Crazy how he can still sing. Idk what James vocal routine/exercise are, but he should’ve shared it to Dave 😂

I have always respected James even when he was in the grip of his addictions! I love 💗 him now that he’s clean and preforming @ top of his game!

Saw it at UNO Lakefront Arena in 89, New Orleans. Unreal. Cult opened up

I can't believe how shy he seems in this. Especially with his on stage persona at the time. Really says a lot about how and why he ended up struggling with alcohol and mental illness so badly. Makes the lyrics to 72 seasons even more poignant.

Saw them on this tour because Gen X Rules, Gen Z DROOLS! You know this clip shows us a surprisingly lucid and articulate 80s James. Almost contemplative 🤘

Of course don't mention how you screwed Jason by taking all of his bass out of the mix.

Back before Metallica sold out. You can hear it in their music

This is why Lars is the mouthpiece of the band. He can't play, but he's good at PR.
