Just my own observation, but proper fitting boots that are tightened correctly / enough.
I went up a size cause of foot pain in my normal boot, but I find that it takes so much effort just to get on edge, and rely alot on momentum to get edge.

Next season I'm going back down to my "normal" size and trying to make space in the boot (remove the footbed/ maybe cut away some foam).

I have a bad habit of putting too much weight on the back foot on the toeside turn. I think its just wimping out a bit when I get going fast.

Don't forget to sit into your heel edge. If you just lean back you'll fall over
