We are very proud to present the advance single De Geest en de Vervoering – The Spirit and the Rapture, from the forthcoming Ossaert album Pelgrimsoord, which translates to Pilgrimage Site.

The single casts an evocate theme of hallowed reverence, cloistered atmospheres, and monastic reverie – which is precisely what the album delivers, and then some. Drawing from the foggy ritualistic influences of Urfaust and Circle of Ouroborus, with some flickering ghosts of the more gothic entities in the pantheon of post punk.

Last years’ Bedehuis released at the start of the year, and remained right at the top of our favourite albums all the way through, and this follow up is going to leave as profound a mark on fans of the former.

This single is the opening track of the album, and is a relatively sombre opening to an album that elevates the mind, spirit and heart rate with visceral endorphin rushes of sinuous, screeching and roaring blackened hymns.

The album releases June 4th on Argento Records in on LP, Cassette and CD. editions.
