It’s 5 a.m. on a normal September day and #NASAExplorers have gathered in a California field to watch a rocket launch light up the pre-dawn sky. On board the rocket is a satellite more than 10 years in the making, with one single instrument that will revolutionize the study of ice on Earth. Join the team in the excitement and stress of watching ICESat-2 launch into space and begin its work measuring our home planet.

This is what makes NASA better than any for-profit space company, they do this for the sake of knowledge, not useless scraps of paper!

Okay. So I admit after I started watching the Netflix series “Voltron” I’ve been a little...A lot...Obsessed with astronomy. And even though Voltron is a very unrealistic example of space, i’m still really in to learning about our galaxy right now...I’ve done the most science I’ve ever done in my entire life! (Obviously I still have the regular amount of school a day too. But I’ve been doing extra on the side because of this...LOL)

Edit: I’m doing double my regular amount of school next year so I can get a grade ahead! I’m mostly concentrating on math and science because I want to improve those subjects the most. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to do school! 😂
