I love watching my students choose books. They notice the size of the books, pictures or not and then the text size is ver important to them! Publishers take note.

First, I have to say that I jumped back to 5th grade this past year after 6 years in second and your videos have really helped me rebuild a 5th grade library with meaningful books, so thank you!
My must read middle grade authors include: Margaret Peterson Haddix, Shannon Hale, Brandon Mull, Rick Riordan, Shannon Messenger, and those are just the ones that immediately spring to mind.

I just got The Stars of Whistling Ridge a few days ago. It's on the side of my TBR cart where I have books that have audiobooks to follow along with. Should be read by the end of the year. Hopefully. 14 books to read before I can buy more audiobooks. If I don't read it this year, it'll be at the beginning of next year. I can't wait to get to it, though.

I need to start buying YA books for my nephews because the oldest one is 9 in October this year and it feels like just yesterday that he was 4 years old. He has a 6 year old brother who will be turning 7 at the end of September and a 4 year old sister who will be 5 in August. Kids grow up so fast! My sister-in-law says she will start buying YA books when they get to the YA age but I feel the need to start sooner so I'm starting now. These will be bought soon for sure.

I would definitely be interested in seeing the authors you will auto-read! I would read all Jessica Townsend and Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. My dd says to add Mo O’Hara and Dav Pilkey for her.

I’m becoming a big Avi fan. I’m also eager for the next Adventure Academy book by Trudy Truitt. I have been preordering all the books so I can get the next one I’m the series as soon as it comes out.
