Side Effects of TOPICAL STEROIDS #shorts

SPEAKING OF SUPPRESSING SYMPTOMS...
.
I'm not here to fear monger in any way
.
I do not believe that medications are inherently toxic or bad
.
There can be a time + place for them depending on your symptoms + quality of life
.
And I used #topicalsteriods when I dealing with #dyshidroticeczema
.
But as a quick continuation of yesterday's post, steroids are one of the go to options for #skinrashes which suppress inflammation
.
That said, I believe in making choices about your care that involve knowing the pros + cons
.
I was never made aware of the side effects of TS when they were prescribed to me with no caution about how much + how long to use them (except from my MD father who warned me to use them sparingly)
.
So again... Another sign that skin rashes have a significant inflammatory component, but also with a potential downside (as all meds have)
.
If these possible side effects concern u especially if u have used them for a long time or are using a high potency, talk to your doctor

I’ve been using topical steroids, specifically Triamcinolone for awhile now and have only had positive effects. Like many medications it can have bad effects for certain people, it’s def not for everyone but it’s been the only thing to truly help my eczema and using it as directed and sparingly I’ve been good.

Are the professionals being bombarded with this yet? The manufacturers, the owners, the sales and distributors.. the doctors are the least of concern. On LinkedIn simply typing in the medicine names brings up loads of professionals who were involved in developing and distributing these and other meds.

No one talks about systemic. I was on 4 months of steroid (pred & Kenalog). Body was reacting & doctors were missing that and kept giving me more at higher dose. I'm 2 months off and it's been so hard w/ skin hypersensitivity, mood, panic. Any suggestions for vitamins?
