You slapped me awake when you said $49. I've been trying to find a deal on one for two years and sure haven't found one that cheap. $99 for an 800 is the best I've found.

if u put the lazer through a mirror that's at a angle will it get the distance to the mirror or will it get the distance from the mirror or the wall the mirror is reflecting it at

I got one built into a tape measure.
That it can differentiate the time difference between something and something else a 1mm further is staggering.
Considering light travels at nearly 300, 000 Km /second.
I could work out the time span to travel 1mm, but I think it would be incomprehensible..

I assume this thing wouldn't work properly in foggy, heavy rain, etc. that could make the laser scattered? 🤔

The range finder knows what frequency it’s looking for, by knowing what frequency it isn’t

Is what I’m confused about is it takes 3.3 nano seconds for light to travel a meter. Is the computer in that really fast enough to calculate that?
