I played some of my favorite tunes in the Cadillac Optiq, a handsome electric SUV, to see how the listening experience is unlocked and evolved by Dolby Atmos audio.

I think his strategy of describing the experience instead of letting you hear it actually makes sense. That stereo being recorded and then played on my IPad, phone or computer is never going to give me an idea of what it sounds like in the car. So why bother? He’s reviewing it, giving us his impression, I suppose take it or leave it. Might give people something to look for when they go and test drive the car, which is the only real test.

Is this being streamed through a specific provider (i.e., Apple Music, Spotify, etc)? Which ones are supported?

I think this could be a real sleeper hit for Cadillac. I see some are in transit to my local dealership but so far I can’t find any driving reviews. Seems odd to me. At the price point, if the tax credit survives (big if) I think this could be very attractive. The Lyric is too big and expensive for me and this is actually pretty big but I test drove the Equinox EV and found it to be a nice size. The Blazer felt boat like to me. With the cool styling and lots of standard features I can see a lot of people moving up from the Equinox to this.
