These things are designed to fail and designed to be hard to repair.
Shame on you Hasbro.

There is only one thing you should ever put on that lower rail.

The elite 2.0 line sounds like a modders nightmare. The fact that you can’t open the blaster because hasbro used clips and potentially glue to keep the blaster together immediately made me dislike the line as a whole.

“It’s evolving, just backwards”

So Hasbro is cheaping out on their blasters, repeating old designs and keeping their high prices but, Dart Zone is providing blasters with amazing performance at decent price? I feel a revolution is at hand...

I appreciate that you opened the blaster in the review; most reviews don't do that and I'd love to see that on reviews of other first-party blasters as well

It doesn't even have the hook to dual wield...?

It's not problematic. It's Anti-Consumer.

It's totally a greedy business strategy by hasbro. Design it to make it more difficult, or totally take away the option, to repair it, or make it less cost effective to try to repair it, or, as the Captain pointed out, "retro fit it, " to make it repairable, and a lot of people will not bother to repair it. Unfortunately, lots of people will fall victim to the "why repair it when you can buy another one, and another, and another one, " strategy, like what happened to WalcomS7's Wardens. If hasbro keeps this up, their cost cutting-design (greedy) strategies might catch up to them when we collectively decide to totally skip the whole E-2.0 line and other lines that will follow this marketing model. We still do owe you, Captain, and other NerfTubers, who persists on giving us these reviews to make us have an educated decision to purchase or pass on blasters, even these that end up unserviceable, and especially if you acquire them out of your own pocket and not sent to you by hasbro to give it a review. Thank you Captain.

glad you are doing this series and giving out your concerns and critiquing the series as a whole. we should always look for the good with the bad.

I'm honestly as annoyed about the inconvenience as any modder; however, I am genuinely interested to see what kind of work-arounds might come to light if people are stubborn about making these things work. The maker community is filled with some really smart and creative people, and you know what they say about limitations and creativity!

Imagine if Hasbro embraced the hobby. Build blaster that can be modded, sell blaster that are low power for kids, and sell first party upgrade kits to teen/adult hobbyists.

Adventure Force pretty much dropped a tactical nuke on Nerf.

The fire strike will always be better than that 2.NO piece of garbage. And no one can convince me otherwise.

I think Hasbro has “nerfed” the cash cow. Over time this can only hurt sales. I am thankful that the blaster that I was looking forward to was a quality product. I’m talking about the Nerf Mega MotoStryke. I love mine and all of the reviews I have seen back up that love.

The only positive thing I have for the elite 2.0 line is the design of the shells

With all the reviews of this line, I think they are a hard pass.

Thanks for the review. I appreciate how you went about in a classy tactful manner. This is a much better way to go about letting us known how the cost cutting measures impact the blaster.

I like the clipped blasters, provided it's done right. Pop the clips, adjust the internals, snap it shut and done. No stripped screws, no screwposts that don't grip the screw anymore, no remembering what length screw goes where, no losing your screws during modding or painting. But the clips need to be sturdy and reusable for that. Same with the integrated plastic springs, less parts to sproing at you and get lost or jump out of place when you're closing the shell, we'll just see how well they hold up in time.
I like to think that with these clipped blasters maybe we can print our own shims/tools to open them up, pla is probably a bit too soft for that though, maybe abs?
