It's not often that a documentary features a scientific debate from various camps instead of pushing a pseudoscience far-fetched conclusions just to make things more attractive and simplistic for broader audience. I love this format. Well done.

The destruction of the mummies during the periods mentioned is absolutely appalling, and the grave robbers didnt just steal thing of monitory worth, they stole our history!!! So much has been lost because of greed, anger, and fear!

It’s interesting how she’s missing an eye both on that famous statue and her mummy

I thought they tried to erase her memory after her death? It's possible that they destroyed her body to prevent her from reaching the afterlife. We may never find her.

27:27 -- Whether Nefertiti or not I, still think the woman in KB21, appears to have been a formidable figure. Something tells me she was not one to be messed with!!!

That is definitely the best documenatry made about searching for Nefertiti's mummy! I really appreciate that Curtis presented different point of view and voices! Personally, I don't believe that Younger Lady is her body - DNA's test result the most probable answer is that mummy was Akhenaten's sister. Nefertiti wasn't his sister, so it can't be her. So her body is still awaiting for discover.

This was a staggering documentary to come up with this idea and suggestion and its opposite in the same time . sifting all these prolific documents and research was something extraordinary thanks for this 🙏

I vote for 21B as an artist. Nefertiti had a long neck if her depictions are true to form. 21B has a long neck. The jaw line and brow both lead my eye to believe that is her.

There are new DNA tests underway on the KV21 A and KV21 B mummies, as well as the KV35YB, the young boy which was not done last time. The latter could be Prince Tutmosi, first son of Amehotep III and Tye and brother of Akhenaten. If it were confirmed that KV21 A is the daughter of KV55, mother of the fetuses of KV62 and granddaughter of Amenhotep III and Tye, as well as sister on the father's (not mother's) side of Tutankhamen, it is obvious that it is Ankhesenamen. Having ascertained this, for KV21 B instead to be Nefertiti, it will have to be confirmed that this is the mother of KV21 A. Then there should be no doubts and we would have finally found the famous lost queen. However, given the poor condition of these two mummies, I fear that the results will remain dubious. We await news. Thank you.

There was one tomb that was badly damaged and one mummy was broken in half… it was thought to be her but we’ll probably never found out.

Dr. Joanne Fletcher was positively rapturous about identifying the Younger Lady as Nefertiti. Hawass, however, even tried to cast doubt on her scholarship, stating at one point that the mummy was actually that of a man (it wasn't, of course). I don't know that we will ever know for sure if Nefertiti's mummy will be definitively identified.
As an aside, I always worry for Professor Aziz. She sounds as if she has a lung condition or perhaps vocal chord dysfunction. The latter is less serious, of course, but still troubling. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and I love what she presents. I also wonder about the audio quality of these videos.

I'm kind of getting a little irritated with this channel re-releasing the same documentaries I have already watched a dozen times before, all years old.... Is there literally no one putting out info with the newest research anymore? Really??? Recycling what you've already released as a *new upload* is lazy.

Do they know which mummies were turned into paint because I always was curious if the lost pharaohs could have been turned into paint 👀

I thought after the death, the Queen and Tut changed things back to the old ways to make the people happy. Not saying that people wouldn't have still disliked her, but i think it adds to the noise of everything.

The mummy of Akhenaten has not been identified either. Wonder if the couples' bodies had been destroyed because of their heretical reforms. What do you think, guys?

I always wonder how many important mummies were lost to medicine of the renaissance and Middle Ages and mummy brown paint.
