At least Consumer Reports isn’t as terrible as JD Powers.

Scotty, CR is FAR different than those other mags! See if you can get invited to their auto testing labs! You might change your mind.

I followed Scotty's advice and installed those Akebono break pads on my 2016 Toyota corolla and let me tell you, they stop the car smoothly, safely and with 0 noises. Thanks Scotty!!!

Scotty, I don't think you get how CR works. You can't compare them to other publications. CR doesn't accept advertising. They buy the cars they test.

I still have a 98 Toyota Corolla which still has the original clutch with 287, 000 miles and it's not as crisp as it was in the beginning but it still shifts smoothly without any slip."

Got a 1999 Ford Super Duty truck. Over 170, 000 miles on it. Still has the factory original clutch. Clutches can last nearly forever with proper clutching technique.

Consumers Reports does give you an edge and has never steered me wrong. I learned about date of manufacture on tires from them. I bought a Magnavox VCR in the 80’s based on their recommendation when Magnavox sucked. It still works.

My dad drove his 5 speed 3.9 2000 Dakota like that and it still has its original clutch at 230, 000 miles

Got 169, 000 miles on my clutch. No major issues just decided to replace it because the pedal was hard to depress and stuck to floor once in a while. 02 Camry 4cyl

when I buy an electronic device of any sort, I like to refer to consumer reports to see what's the best out there only to find that none of the stores actually carry that particular model🤨

I had an 82 GMC stepside pickup 6cyl that had 170, 000 miles on it before I had to change the clutch.
