Dunraven to Lost Lake - Colorado Backpacking Day 1

We started our Colorado backpacking trip at Dunraven trailhead. We had a 10-mile hike ahead of us to Lost Lake. This was mine and Jeremy’s first backcountry backpacking experience with fully loaded packs, weighing approximately 30+ pounds. Definitely a tough hike at elevation, but nothing we couldn’t handle. Felt good just knowing how physically prepared we were for the hike and knowing we had all the right gear along the way, especially once we set up camp.

great hike...ive done that one three times so far both to the lake and up to stormy peaks from that little water fall.
