Document Your Life in 2021 with Photography

Today, I'm discussing why I think you should Document Your Life with Photography in 2021.

Last Year, as the UK was thrown into a lockdown, I decided to Document my Life by going out with my Olympus Trip 35, and my Canon A1, shooting some Ilford HP5, and creating a small personal photo project titled: "A Year Incomplete".

Through documenting my life with photography, I not only developed as a creative but created a body of work, that allowed me to focus on and learn narrative structuring of photography, sequencing, and allowed me to print my own work.

I strongly recommend, where possible, documenting your life and your surroundings, and giving yourself something to look back on, in the future.

Powerful stuff, mate. It’s the middle of 2023 now and the pandemic seems all but forgotten at this point, but looking at the first series of images, I found such pain and anger rise up that I didn’t even realize that period had caused in me. Photographic catharsis, anyone? 🙈Anyway, I’m not even all the way through the video and your little talk has already inspired me to think about deliberately documenting the second half of this year! I even might already have a theme! =)
