John’s talk reminded me of the MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomesov, when crowds cheer for him during interviews or after he wins a fight, he consistently points to himself and wags his index finger with rejection, indicating that it’s not him who deserves the credit, then he points to the sky in a gesture that it’s God’s work through him that enables him to be good at what he does, and therefore the credit goes to God.
