Here is the small details that many missed while they watched this amazing matrix short

All these details missed because the whole thing moved so fast. This is really cool.

During the scene where the human soldiers were yelling and shooting, you can see 2 soldiers bashing their head against each other on the right of the screen, indicating that they were to high to properly even function.

Edit: another thing I noticed is in the beginning, during the scene where some machine workers were dragging a large block, you can see that the security bot with the camera head standing on the right of the screen had a spear in hand that resembles the bayonets attached to the human soldiers guns, so either it’s some type of electric spear or simply a bayonet.

One thing I noticed is that the tech of the human's APUs advanced and got flying abilities further along in the war.

I think the saddest part about the second rennaiscance, is the fact the machines were already eons ahead of humanity in such a short time, had the capability to snap their fingers (tentacles?) And wipe out mankind effortlessly, yet OFFERED US EVERY SINGLE CHANCE for peace and coexistence. Mankind though, like always, wrapped in our hubris and short-sighted arrogance, rejected all attempts by them to end the conflict. I know this is the entire surface plot point of these episodes, but i think it's such a fresh take on the idea, say compared to something like terminator, where the collective AI is instantly malicious to humans as soon as it becomes sentient. To make a long winded comment short, I like the concept that humanity doomed itself, the machines just wanted to exist.

Later on on the war humans can be seen wearing militarized hazmat suits .

Not everything was made in Zero One, multiple hovercrafts in The Matrix have dates of construction going back before 2090 when the machine purge occurred. Pequod had a date of 2029, The Nebuchadnezzar had a date of 2069, Logos had a construction date of 2072. What most likely happened is hover cars got outsourced to Zero One over the 40 years before the war began.

So even the humans who fled to zero one were not only the first people of the matrix but also the veterans of the machine war as they also too fought with the machines for freedom. But they no longer have bodies of flesh but that of machines due to the radiation and the war.
