As a Machinist by trade, these little pocket levels are in my top 5 most useful tools!

Given that it's a Starret product I'm just shocked there isn't another zero on that price tag.

As for material, I see one site (Grainger) that lists it as "tool steel, " but I wouldn't be shocked it if were brass, I see nearly identical vintage ones that are clearly plain brass and the finish on this looks a lot like the ones on chrome- or nickel-plated brass vintage camera gear.

enjoying the tool reviews. I have one for ya. Douglass plies. I used them for many many years and had to get replacements a month or so ago and the quality of them is terrible now.. its shameful. I cant believe it. coming up as an apprentice 25 years ago Douglass was the brand in every plumbers pocket. but these new ones leave alot to be desired. I'm thinking of going to the channellock brand for my main work pliers. just my thoughts on a tool. thank u sir for lettin me ramble.

With two flip out tabs, it would make a good string line level. Try the Maxpedition mag pouch for your Surge. I will be posting a video shortly on this pouch especially for you!

Yeah, I've considered this company over the years but this is a bit small for my purposes because I will lose it. I could really use an approx 5-6" version that would fit my pouch I know their quality is top notch! It looks beautiful!

It's actually nickel plated. The same model 135A and 135B have been around for decades...

Anyone else try rotating this level slightly around the axis of the cylinder, or try leveling with one of the other edges of the hexagon body? Mine moves a full bubble either direction. You have to be level in both x and y axis for it to work. Maybe mines defective or I don’t understand something about this type of level. As is it’s completely useless for my intended use.

Quality looking tool, shame I don't have a need, because I mostly use a level to plumb posts.

I carry a level in my edc pouch because for the life of me I can't hang anything level on a wall. lol I used a small one like that but it always went to the bottom of my pouch so I went to a pen sized one with a clip by Irwin. It's maybe the size of a Sharpie but doesn't get lost at the bottom.

Weird. It's only 41$CA on amazon.ca. I would have thought to be pricier than this as usual.
Keep up your excellent work!

I too suffer from that gadget addiction.

Wish they would incorporate a level into the multi tools

It better be "the coolest pocket level I have ever seen" - it's $45!
